Gangnam Seoul · Full, partial & implant dentures

Dentures in Gangnam Seoul

Well-fitting dentures help you chew, speak and smile again. Our prosthodontics team designs them, and our in-house lab makes them on site.

In short: dentures are removable replacement teeth on a gum-coloured base. Complete dentures replace all teeth in a jaw; partial dentures fill gaps and clip to remaining teeth; implant-supported dentures attach to implants for stability. Making one usually takes several visits over a few weeks, plus adjustments.

Understanding dentures

What types of dentures are there?

A denture is a custom set of artificial teeth, designed around your gums, bite and face.

Dr. Wook-Dong Kim, Dr. Sung-Ook Oh and Dr. Il-Hyun Kim plan your denture, and adjustments are quick because our lab is in the clinic.

Conventional

Complete & partial

Rest on the gums; partials clip to your teeth.

  • No surgery needed
  • Partials often use a metal framework
More stable

Implant-supported

Clip or screw onto two or more implants.

  • Less movement when eating
  • Needs enough bone and surgery

Good reasons

Are dentures right for you?

  • Many or all teeth missing
  • Teeth cannot support a bridge
  • You prefer to avoid surgery
  • An old denture is loose or worn

Honest limitations

What to expect

  • A few weeks to adapt to eating and speaking
  • Lower dentures can move
  • Relines needed as gums change

Questions patients ask us

Dentures FAQ

How long does it take to get dentures in Seoul?
A conventional denture usually takes several visits over about 3–5 weeks. Implant dentures take longer because implants heal first.
Will my dentures look natural?
Tooth shape, shade and gum colour are chosen to suit your face, and you see a try-in first.
What can I do about a loose lower denture?
A reline can improve the fit. For more stability, two or more implants can hold it in place if you have enough bone.
Does Korean insurance cover dentures?
NHIS partly covers dentures for eligible enrollees aged 65+. We also work with TRICARE Dental and private insurers.
Do your dentists speak English?
Yes. Your dentist explains everything in English, and our coordinator Ms. Choi has helped international patients here for over 15 years.
