Cosmetic Dentistry in Gangnam Seoul

Whiter, straighter or more even teeth — cosmetic dentistry covers several treatments. This guide explains each one so you can choose with confidence.

In short: cosmetic dentistry improves the colour, shape, size or alignment of your teeth and the look of your gums. Common options are teeth whitening, veneers, bonding and a combined smile makeover. At A Plus Dental, a Seoul National University–trained dentist examines your teeth first and explains in English which options suit you.

Understanding the options

What is cosmetic dentistry?

Cosmetic dentistry focuses on how your smile looks, while keeping teeth healthy and your bite comfortable. Some options change only colour; others change shape or position.

Is it right for you?

Common reasons patients ask

  • Stained or yellow teeth
  • Chipped, worn or uneven teeth
  • Small gaps between front teeth
  • Old fillings that no longer match

Healthy first

Before cosmetic work

  • Decay and gum disease are treated first
  • Whitening does not change crowns or fillings
  • Some options remove enamel and cannot be undone

Questions patients ask us

Cosmetic dentistry FAQ

Which cosmetic treatment is right for me?
It depends on what you want to change. Colour alone may need whitening; shape or chips may suit bonding or veneers. Your dentist will advise after an examination.
Is cosmetic dentistry safe for my teeth?
Whitening and bonding are conservative. Veneers may need a thin layer of enamel removed, which is permanent, so we discuss this before you decide.
Can I get cosmetic treatment during a short trip?
Whitening and bonding can often be done in one visit. Veneers usually need two or three visits over about one to two weeks.
Is cosmetic dentistry covered by insurance in Korea?
Purely cosmetic treatment is usually not covered by Korean NHIS. We give English receipts for any private insurer.
Do your dentists speak English?
Yes. Our dentists explain all options in English, supported by our English coordinator Ms. Choi (15+ years at the clinic).
