Clear Dental Aligners in Gangnam Seoul

Straighter teeth without visible brackets: thin, removable trays planned and supervised by our board-certified orthodontist.

In short: clear aligners are custom plastic trays that gradually straighten teeth. They suit many adults and teens with mild to moderate crowding, gaps or bite problems. You wear them 20–22 hours a day, change sets every one to two weeks, and finish with a retainer.

Understanding aligners

What are clear dental aligners?

Aligners are thin, transparent trays made to fit your teeth. Each set is slightly different, so wearing them in order moves teeth a little at a time.

Dr. Eung-Soo Kim, ABO Diplomate and certified Invisalign provider, plans your treatment and explains which system suits you.

Often suitable

Who aligners work well for

Many mild to moderate cases in teens and adults.

  • Crowding and gaps
  • Some overbite, underbite and crossbite cases
  • Relapse after braces
May need braces

When braces may be better

Some movements are harder to control with aligners alone.

  • Severe crowding or large rotations
  • Major bite or jaw problems
  • If trays can't be worn 20–22 hours a day

Benefits

Why patients choose aligners

  • Nearly invisible in daily life
  • Removed for eating — no food restrictions
  • Easy to brush and floss normally

Limits

What to keep in mind

  • Results depend on wearing them 20–22 hours a day
  • Trays must come out for meals and drinks other than water
  • Small tooth-coloured attachments are often needed
  • A retainer is still needed afterwards

Living with aligners

Tips for successful aligner treatment

A few habits make the biggest difference:

  • Wear trays 20–22 hours a day; remove only to eat, drink and clean
  • Brush your teeth before putting trays back in
  • Clean trays daily with cool water — hot water can warp them
  • Change to each new set on schedule
  • Wear your retainer as instructed after treatment

For many mild to moderate cases, yes — if worn as instructed. Some complex movements are better with braces.

Small corrections take several months; full cases often a year or longer.
Do aligners hurt?
Most people feel pressure for a day or two with each new set.
What is the difference between Invisalign and other aligners?
Invisalign is one well-known brand. Other systems work the same way but differ in materials, planning and cost.
How much do clear aligners cost in Gangnam?
Cost depends on your diagnosis, the materials and the number of teeth or visits involved. After your examination we give you a written, itemised quote in English before any treatment begins.
